Why Legacy Gifts are so Important
22nd, November 2009
Legacy Giving accounts for a considerable percentage of the income of many charities in Britain.
However, asking for a legacy gift from a potential benefactor can be a delicate matter. This need not be the case. Research conducted by Giving with Certainty and other organisations in this sector would seem to indicate that, if done in a sensitive and appropriate way, most people would not object to being asked to make a Legacy Donation and that around a third would leave a gift in their Will. Frustratingly, less than ten percent actually do.
Giving with Certainty is committed to seeing that figure rise dramatically during 2010.
